Pelican Lake is the largest body of water in southern Manitoba, stretching 14 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. Its vast expanse offers a wide range of activities to keep outdoor enthusiasts busy year-round.
In the warmer months, enjoy activities such as hunting, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, sailing, golfing, bird watching, kayaking, and more. The stunning valley is filled with scenic views, wildflowers, and abundant wildlife. Pelican Lake also hosts the annual Pelican Lake Yacht Club Regatta, drawing boating enthusiasts from near and far.
We are proud to be located on the edge of one of Manitoba’s most scenic golf courses. Family-owned and operated, Pleasant Valley Golf Course features 18 holes, a licensed clubhouse, and a restaurant. Open from May through October.

During winter, Pelican Lake transforms into a haven for ice-fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. The annual Pelican Lake Ice Fishing Derby takes place the first Saturday in March. Just up the hill from the canopies, you’ll find the “Christmas Tree Trail” at Hidden Valley RV Park, open from December to March. There’s also an outdoor skating rink in front of the Pelican Lake Lounge & Restaurant in Ninette.

Cool days are perfect for curling up with a good book, playing classic board games or cards, or listening to vinyl records (which are included with your stay). Embrace the cozy moments—you never know, they might become your favorite memories.
The Local Area.
Killarney is a beautiful town with a beach, splash park, 18 hole golf course, recreational centre with bowling alley, ice rink and curling rink, and a very well equipped gym. Killarney lake is popular in summer, but also in winter for ice fishing, curling, hockey, etc. The Mary Ann Moore Wellness Center in Killarney offers a Spa and an indoor swimming pool.
A popular summertime attraction is the Shamrock Drive Inn. One of the few remaining Movie Theatre’s that is located just south of town and open seasonally from Spring through Fall.
There are also beautiful nature trails situated around Killarney that you can enjoy with a leisurely stroll. There are great places to visit in the summer including The Beach Hut, which serves ice cream and fast food. There are also various other restaurants in town from The Blarney Stone, Kelby's and more.

Glenboro is a small community situated at the junctions of Highways #2 and #5. The town's most obvious attraction, Sara the Camel is emblematic of the Spirit Sands (commonly referred to as the Manitoba Desert) located just six miles north in nearby Spruce Woods Provincial Park.

This beautiful retreat is widely considered one of the best Provincial Parks in Manitoba. Kiche Manitou Beach offers excellent swimming, fishing, hiking, and picnic areas.
The snowmobile and x-country ski trails in Spruce Woods Park are considered among the most scenic in Manitoba. Winter fun for the whole family is rounded out by two toboggan hills and a winter recreation area featuring a lighted outdoor skating oval, a full sized hockey rink, and jam pail curling.

Ninette is located in the north end of Pelican Lake and has a population of just over 200. Ninette’s history is quite an interesting one with a big part of the towns history tied to the town’s sanatorium. The Manitoba Sanatorium, locally called The San, opened in 1909, and was the largest and longest-operating sanatorium in the province treating patients during the tuberculosis epidemic.
While sailboats have been a part of Pelican Lake’s landscape for over a century, The Pelican Yacht Club is located in a protected harbor where slips and facilities available for members along with instruction and training boats.
There are great places to visit in the summer including the Hot’n Frosty Drive In, which serves ice cream and fast food. There is also a lakeside restaurant known as The Pelican Lake Lounge where you can also find kayaks, canoes and paddle boards for rent.

Turtle Mountain Provincial Park – 43km
The park is known for its bike trails, fishing and canoe routes.
The Turtle's Back Tower is accessible via a hiking trail and offers a panoramic view of the Turtle Mountains and surrounding farmlands.
All of the park's lakes are popular for boating and fishing, while William Lake is frequented by windsurfing enthusiasts.
