Hi! We’re the Jamieson’s
Just a small town couple with two cute littles. We are the owners of McPhail Travel Brandon and visionaries behind Moonlit Canopy. We’re adventurers at heart and love unique, cultural immersive experiences, ‘backroads’ style of travel and supporting small locally owned businesses. With an extensive background in tourism and through our worldwide journeys, we always knew that someday we wanted to create a similar experience for others to enjoy.
Our goal for Moonlit Canopy is to create a space where you can escape, recharge, reconnect and then go home and take on the world.
We are proud to offer a new concept of luxury, eco-friendly accommodation that promises a unique nature experience in the heart of Manitoba’s prairies.
Glamping is a form of camping in nature with hotel level ease and amenities: comfortable accommodation with a soft bed and fireplace, as opposed to a tent and sleeping bag; a bathroom with all the modern conveniences, not a toilet under a tree; diversified cookery instead of canned food. A pleasure for those who are able to afford top-grade recreation away from civilization, who want to spend time alone with nature, to have new experiences, emotions, but not ready to “rough it.”
There’s no better way to create special memories than camping in the outdoors. Immersing yourself in nature, exploring, stargazing, and socializing on the patio … yet spending a night in the comfort of a cozy room with many of the amenities you would expect from an upscale retreat. That’s what Glamping is all about.
From the moment you arrive at Moonlit Canopy you can feel modern day life slip away. Your shoulders loosen up, your lungs expand and your ears perk up...could that be a birdsong?
Moonlit Canopy offers a camping experience with a cool twist of luxury and nature. The 3 geodesic domes are perched on the slopes, nestled in the trees, each one with over 500sq ft and designed with your comfort in mind. You’ll be close to your neighbors, whether they be the people in the next dome over or the many deer, birds and squirrels that have been here long before you have.
We want you to do whatever the heck you please! Relax, refresh and just plain chill or adventure and play! Moonlit Canopy is pretty low key. No butler, no room service or restaurants on site. Our “no-frills” vibe is part of our charm, but it’s not for everyone.
We have created a piece of paradise for you. A year-round glamping experience on 1 acre at the edge Pleasant Valley Golf Course. We hope you enjoy our vision as much as we do.
